Royals lose to Toronto, again, streak at 7

by @ 11:12 pm. Filed under 2008 Royals

For the third straight day, the Royals are on the losing end of the scorecard to the Toronto Blue Jays.  Gil Meche took his record to 3-7 on the season, after this lose.  Pitching 6 very solid innings, scattering 2 Runs, on only 5 Hits, and getting 5 Strike Outs.  But that wasn’t enough, as the offense seems to have “gone bye-bye.”

The offense did manage to get 9 Hits off of the starter, McGowen, but producing any runs from it, seems to be the problem.  The Royals have scored only 2 Runs in the last three games!  Extending their losing streak to seven, and still in a dead heat with the Detroit Tigers for last place in the American League Central, at 6.5 games out.

Tomorrow is the last chance the Royals have to beat these Blue Jays, and also avoid getting swept (their second sweep, in as many series).
